Try for something a bit unusual this Halloween and go as a witch. Not the normal one, though, we said it would be unusual! How about going as Glinda from the Wizard of Oz movie in 1939? This is the angelic witch that Dorothy first encounters when she lands in Oz after a tornado uproots her home. The witch’s name is Glinda, though she is really the Good Witch of the South in the novel. Everyone knows her as from the South, however, due to the movie which made no reference to this other witch. Anyhow, with that bit of Glinda trivia aside, you can see here that this costume is rather easy to pull off. Make sure you’ve got a glittery crown (maybe start with a chef’s hat) with a pink gown and the funnest thing of all: a wand with a star at the end. She also seems to have some wings of sorts and a butterfly broach.
